Who we are:
Hi, my name is Pete Bogatinoff, owner of S&P Boat Sales, LLC. Our company was launched due
to my love for boating. Upon retirement with 35 years in sales and marketing from a major
corporation, I decided to invest my time and money into helping fellow boaters achieve their
dreams. Due to increasing demand, the decision was made to expand the sales capacity of our
business. In early 2005 we brought in 3 individuals who immediately earned my respect for
their abilities. The Associate Broker staff at S&P Boat Sales, LLC is a team of highly
qualified individuals who have a combined wealth of sales experience and knowledge of all
types of boats. I'm proud to introduce:
Colonel Billy Burgess - Recently retired Colonel in the United States National Guard. During
the same period, he also found time to gain over 30 years experience in boating with a very successful boat sales record.
His outstanding reputation for how well he takes care of his clients
consistently brings repeat customers his way. In addition, Billy is a U.S. Merchant Marine
Officer with a Master Captain's license to operate vessels of 100 gross tons or less. Billy
lives with his wife Linda in Alexandra, TN near Center Hill Lake where you will be bound to
run across him either on the lake, or at one of the many marinas.
Bubba Chapman - This guy knows how to get boats sold, and has an uncanny
ability to find the right boat for his customers.. Bubba has an outstanding sales
reputation that encompasses more than 25 years. His love for boating recently brought him
back from a 3-year hiatus away from boat sales due to other business obligations. Bubba is a
life-long resident of Murfreesboro, TN, and is looking forward to working with you..
Dave Marven - The youngest and least experienced of all of us, but has a tremendous desire to
make this his full-time profession. Dave is very aggressive in helping clients to sell their
boat, and has done an outstanding job since coming to S&P. He has 20 years experience as a
Master Auto Technician in the Nashville area, and lives in Chapel Hill, TN.
Give him a try; I think you will be impressed.
Troy Sheppard - The newest member of our team, but certainly not new to boating. Troy
has over 30 years experience with all types of boating, and is a USCG licensed Captain with / STCW95
rating, Towing Endorsement and a Radio License. He has captained everything from recreational boats to
luxury yachts. Like others, the effect of Hurricane Katrina has brought him back home to Clarksville,
Tennessee. Troy has a tremendous desire to help you share your passions for boating by being that go-to
person who can put you in the right boat. When working with Troy, you will find that he understands and
respects the nature of purchasing a boat and the seriousness of that decision. You will find that he will
provide an understanding and a no-nonsense, no pressure approach to your decision.
What we are:
Our primary business is providing a boat brokerage service for both the seller and buyer. A boat brokerage company operates very much like a real estate agency. We are focused on helping you sell and/or find the boat that is the right one for you. Whether you are planning to purchase a boat, have one to sell, or ready to upgrade, please click the "Brokerage Services" button on navigation bar above to learn more about how we can assist you in all these needs and more.
Although our emphasis is on houseboats, we also deal heavily with cruisers, runabouts, pontoons, fishing boats, and jet boats. Our recent affiliation with a large buying group has significantly increased our capabilities in the sale of new houseboats, and the ability to buy, sell, or trade houseboats. We sincerely feel that you will find a multitude of benefits through these enhancements.
Where we are:
Our main office is located in Brentwood, TN about 8 miles south of Nashville. From this part of Tennessee, we service the entire USA, and ship new and used boats all over the country.
Something that you may, or may not know about Tennessee, is that it is blessed with many beautiful lakes throughout the state. In addition, Nashville is on the Cumberland River, which flows right into the Tennessee River System. From here, you can go north to the East Coast, or south to the Gulf of Mexico. The weather here is excellent for boating, and good to the boats. You will find most boats to be in excellent condition and have the advantage of not being subjected to winter dry-docking, which can stress any hull. Whenever you chance to visit us, you will immediately be impressed how many boats are located here. Boats that range from small runabouts to cruisers to the larger motor yachts, and last but not least, those gigantic houseboats that can be as large as 20' wide by 115' long.
